Canon G10 Or A Canon Eos Rebel Xs?
I am looking for a nice camera, i went to bestbuy today and was looking at the g10 it looked really nice and was priced at 520. but the dude came over and showed me the canon rebel slr for only 70 bux more. for camera pros what would you recommend. im taking a photography class and need a decent camera so i don 't need a slr but its only 70 bux more for alot more features i think? the g10 is 14 mp and the slr is 10.1. i know it depends on what your using it for and the answer is anything and everything, i go on alot of trips and like taking high res photos to mess around with in ps. the thing that i loved about the slr was the 1/ 4000 shutter speed but the g10 has it. in your opinion is the slr that much better? (i have the g10 but find it too noisy even with a tripod)yes yes yes, i meant blur. during the copy &paste must have lost a part of text somewhere.one good thing i find in the g10 is size and durability (the last suffers in the new g11.. hate those turning displays)with d3000 i am not so sure if it will be fine using only one lens, since i want it on the go with me at all times. the d3000 has a great price (at least it looks like a great deal) for the functionality. Canon G10 Vs Panasonic Dmc-lx3?
I am looking for a good digital point and shoot that is able to shoot raw, has a decent flash when needed, can handle low light ok (not expecting much from a p &s) and is fairly compact. i recently sold all my dslr stuff because i can 't keep all that for a hobby nor is it practical. i was set on the g10, then a photographer friend said the lx3 is a much better camera and is better in low light, and has a better flash. only major downside was you have to have photoshop cs4 for the raw files. i have no plans on upgrading to new software because it isn 't practical for me, i am a minimalistic photoshoper, lol. i would consider getting lightroom however. but, as a side note, does anyone know how the fine jpegs look for both cameras. most of my photos will be online only and if they are printed they will probably be no bigger than 8x10ish.i know everyone has been swearing by the g10, but, like me, i just don 't think people have heard a lot about the lx3.anyone who has either camera and wants to be brutally honest i would love to hear your thoughts.thanks :)oh, and i want something with fully manual features. are there any other comparable advanced point and shoots out there? what about lag time from when you press the shutter and when it actually takes the picture? Why Can't I Find The Pictures I Uploaded From My Canon G10 Digital Camera To My Macbook?
I 've uploaded pictures and videos from my canon g10 to my macbook. all of the photos and videos appear in iphoto, but only the videos appear in my photos folder in the macintosh hd. furthermore, when i uploaded the pictures and videos from iphoto to flickr, the videos turned to static images. argh. suggestions?thanks. Why Does My Canon G10 Camera Have Problems Focusing Without The Flash? I Hate Using The Flash. Personally?
I think a perfect camera shouldn 't need one or even have one. quite simply, the camera should be able to see the same way my eyes see. so if my eyes can see something in low light, the camera should also be able to see it and photograph it).but i 'm getting off the subject. i am trying to take pictures of my food inside restaurants that are more than adequately lit by the natural light coming in from the windows. so why, then, is my annoying camera flashing icons on screen, indicating that it is not focusing? (yes i am pressing the shutter button halfway before pressing it completely) this is confirmed by the fact that the resulting pictures are slightly fuzzy (or blurry). this is infuriating. i can just imagine how terrible the pictures will come out when i 'm trying to photograph in real low light. i have used the macro mode to no avail. had i wanted a crappy camera with crappy performance i didn 't have to drop $500 on this thing. i could have gone out and bought a something for $129. i 'm starting to get really pissed off at this cameras performance.
