Question: Sd or sdhc? (specifically canon g10)?

Where/How do I find out if my Canon G10 is SDHC compatible?

Of course your G10 can use SDHC memory cards. It was only released last year, so it will be just fine. SDHC cards are exactly the same as SD cards, but have higher capacities. SD (up to to 2GB)....and SDHC (from 4GB). I recommend you buy a fast card. Something like Sandisk Extreme III SDHC in 4GB or 8GB. Format (in the camera Menu) before first use. Each 4GB will allow approx.... 600 Large/SuperFine Jpegs or 180 RAW images or 160 RAW+Large/Fine Jpegs or up to 47 minutes of 640x480 video. Have a look in your User Guide (pages 283-284) for estimated capacities and image data sizes...

Your canon G10 can use SD and SDHC. You read your canon G10 manual.

First, you should learn about the setting of your Canon, and actually some formats can not be supported ...

The G10 can use both. All SD cameras can use SD and most, if not all, of the newer cameras can use SDHC. On canon products, it says on the box whant kinds of cards it will take, and its always in the owners manual. Btw, the G10 is a great camera! Your going to love the picture quality and capability. Learn every way to use it and you will have a blast with it.
